Hi, what are the stakes that are in the ground near our driveways for?

They keep the snow plows off the lawn and guide them to where the curb is
That's what I was told as well so they don't damage our driveways when removing the snow.
They ( gentlemen putting them in) said it’s for snow removal. I would think to guide the snow plow where sidewalks are.
