Good Morning Brookmere,
Yesterday, I had a meeting with our new landscaping company and they seem awesome. The team seemed very knowledgeable of grass, trees, and the mulch. According to Acres, our trees have been dying to improper mulching, causing no oxygen to the trees. They will be walking our blocks to do a full assessment in the upcoming weeks. Acres will begin trimming next week and due to Nellis not completing, the process will take longer than expected. I also requested a bid for mulch and we will have a quote by Monday. I asked Acres to come out to our next meeting and formally introduce themselves, explain contracts, and also to discuss a snow bid. Excited about the scope of work they shared. Happy Saturday and have a great day.
I am truly pissed off with this new landscaper. They did not cut my grass last week, and they did a piss poor job on my grass this week. I also spend a lot of time and money beautifying my yard, and taking pride in doing so. Today the landscaper cut my backyard too low, AND IT LOOKS PITIFUL, and they did not cut, or trim my backyard. I will purchase my own lawn mower, and I will cut my own grass. I do not feel that I should continue paying my HOA Fee, if I'm not getting the service I'm paying for. I called Sharre last night, and I am waiting for her to return my call.
Good Morning Sharee--
Thank you for the follow-up. It was greatly appreciated.
How was the new landscaping company chosen? Did you all review their portfolio, go to actual communities that they have serviced or are servicing, did you speak to past or present clients? How do we know they are awesome. I appreciate the diligence to try and find suitable contractors for our community; however, while you all were going back and forth with Nellis and other potential contractors, my husband and I spent countless hours and money on our yard because the landscaper that we pay HOA fees for failed. We trimmed our own hedges, we purchased our own mulch, and we edged our trenches. These are things that the previous landscaper did not do and has done poorly since last season. We take pride in our home and had no problem getting out and maintaining our yard and making it an appealing sight when families and guests drive into the community which is where my frustration once again, comes into play. I am not sure who trimmed the hedges for the houses as Nellis was here on Friday (7/16) and another company on Saturday (7/18); however, I woke up with my yard looking one way, and by the time they left it was a MESS! I have attached pictures of what my yard looked like just a week ago to what it looked like yesterday evening. The landscapers literally stomped on my plants (which are 4ft tall, not sure how you do that), blew a huge chunk of our mulch into the grass, the trimmings have been blown from the ferns that are by my porch to the flower bed by the sidewalk & street. My entire front yard is littered with mulch, large clumps of grass clippings (that have now browned), and all of the clippings from the bush trimmings. The mulch was thick and now you can literally see bare spots in my flower beds. Feel free to stop by and take a look as I will be out there today trying to clean everything up. -- 4980 Gibson
